    Position Overview

    As a Network Engineer at Hoptroff, you will play a crucial role in designing, implementing, and maintaining our network infrastructure with a specific emphasis on PTP (Precision Time Protocol) services and achieving low latency in Layer 2 connectivity.     Position Overview

    As an Infrastructure Engineer your role is to monitor, manage and support the production and test environments in our infrastructure. 

    The successful candidate will be responsible for ensuring the reliability, availability, and performance of our IT infrastructure. This role will involve managing servers, networks, storage, and cloud environments while ensuring security, scalability, and high performance across our infrastructure.

    You will be responsible for working on products that will:

    • Improve the quality of customers’ data, so that it can easily support audit demands from customers and provide compliance reporting to regulators 

    • Demonstrate how sharing access to a network of atomic clocks delivers the benefits of synchronisation much more cost efficiently than buying, integrating and maintaining clocks of your own 

    • Demonstrate how traceable accurate timing can harmonise the operation of distributed computer infrastructure to improve efficiency and competitiveness

    You will need to complete tasks that maintain and support our systems to guarantee business continuity and a seamless user experience for all customers. This is a hands-on role that requires an individual who can thrive in a dynamic and fast-paced environment, adapt to new technologies, and troubleshoot complex issues swiftly.

    You will exude the values and ethos of Hoptroff, and support the consistent delivery of value to our customers, ensuring they want to return to us time and time again. 

    This role is offered as a maternity cover on a temporary contract, starting from December 2024 and lasting for an estimated period of 4 months, or until the return of the postholder from maternity leave, whichever is sooner. The successful candidate will be responsible for ensuring continuity in the duties of the Infrastructure Engineer, maintaining the quality and consistency of service delivery. The contract may be subject to extension, depending on the postholder’s return date.
